Nadia Founder of LaliPali

Nadia is an Arabic calligraphy and mosaic artist whose journey led her to intertwine heritage with purpose. While working on a mosaic piece, she envisioned incorporating Palestinian embroidery into her art. This search brought her to refugee camps in Lebanon, where she witnessed firsthand the difficult living conditions faced by women there.

From that moment, Nadia set out to create not just art, but opportunity. She began designing embroidery motifs with the same care and creativity she brought to her canvases—researching, studying, choosing threads and colors, and shaping patterns that carry meaning. These designs are then embroidered by women in the camps, allowing them to work from home and earn a dignified income. The finished embroidery is later transformed into unique handbags through collaborations with local workshops.

Nadia’s role goes beyond that of an artist—she is the designer, the driver, the purchaser, and the bridge connecting tradition with empowerment. Each handbag tells a story of heritage, resilience, and artistry, while also creating a pathway for women to support themselves and their families.
