Collection: Basima Odeh

From a very young age, Basima had an artistic eye. Growing up in the Palestinian village of Salfeet, that never stopped her from dreaming big even as a child, she started embroidery and tailoring when she was only 10 years old. She got married at the age of 17 and moved away from her family to live with her husband in Amman, Jordan. After she had her three kids She entered collage and was the first in her group in her finance certificate. She also had a certificate in visual arts that she obtained early in her married years - I was her first child and was only months old when she started taking me to her classes and put me under the seat. she worked for the YMCA as an art teacher mainly teaching sculptures to children with down syndrome. When life seemed impossible with her marriage, she decides to end it and and left with absolutely nothing but her dreams to put all her energy and talent to use.

Stating over her new life, she returned to her childhood passion to embroidery and tailoring. Living in Jordan with many Palestinian refugee camps, she grew her business by helping the women in these camps by giving them, Basima gives them the tools, materials, designs and they learn, with Basima's artistic vision and skills, and the women's hard work, the results were unique master pieces. Her reputation started to grow fast in Jordan, especially after two fashion shows attended by the royal family and the later Queen of Jordan H.M. Rania Al Abdallah (in year?)

From selling from home, Basima expanded and started travelling to exhibitions around the world, selling her work in the America, Belgium, Tunisia, Dubai until she decided to move to Dubai (year?)and open her own shop in one of the most prestigious malls, had team of tailors and continued to work Palestinian women in Jordan and Palestine. Her customers expanded tremendously and she was living her dream of success and proved that strong independent women do exist. Basima thrived in Dubai and the gulf opening multiple shops and became a well known name in the field. But all that started to collapse after her morning stiffness worsen and then diagnosed with autoimmune disease.
