About the Authors

Tania Tamari Nasir, born in Jerusalem in 1941, studied English and Fine Arts at Beirut College for Women in Lebanon. She has been involved in cultural and artistic activities for many years and co-authored Palestinian Embroidery: Fallahi Cross-Stitch, published by the Ethnographic Museum in Munich, Germany, in 1990. She also has experience in literary translation.

Marie Salim Jabaji Tamari was born in Jaffa in 1911. She studied at St. Joseph's School in Jaffa and later moved to Beirut in 1948. In 1951, she moved to Ramallah, Palestine, where she continued to live.
